Against wool Industry

Hello and welcome to my blog! This blog is to raise awareness about my topic which is hurting sheep just for their wool. Do we really need wool? You think it's very important do you? Hopefully when you finish looking at this blog, you'll understand how cruel this is and why it is such a big problem. Enjoy and If you have any questions comment below on the article you're reading or send me an email on "againstwoolindustry@gmail.com"

The problem is that people are hurting and also slaughtering sheep to make shoes, coats, jackets, bags etc. By harvesting and slaughtering these sheep for it’s wool the amount of sheep we have will decrease hugely. If that occurs we then will have less sheep to eat and soon enough we will not have any sheep at all. Why?  Because were harming and killing them for their wool and not letting them breed. When sheep have no wool we're giving it the possibility and the chance for the sheep to get ill.. How does it get ill? Sheep grow just enough wool to protect themselves from tempreture extremes. It's wool usually keep's it warm and unlike us humans they don't wear clothes. and so if we take it's only protection we might as well kill it. We eat sheep for it’s meat to become fit and healthy. Without meat? All humans will soon die from illnesses. . If we continue like this there wont be a future for us. We can still change.. But there isn’t much time left,Take action and do something before it's too late..

Only you can stop it!

The equipments used in the process of harvesting the wool tortures them!

As you see even Pink the famous singer is against this issue and is trying to spread awareness.

If these sheep are treated like this in this "professional" video ... imagine how they are treated when the cameras aren't filming?

Mulesing Sheep

                                          Helpless sheep getting mulesed.

                                                                Slaughtered Sheep

Wool Isn't Perfect you know.. It has its cons:

- Not all wool is machine washable

- Can't be directly Ironed

- It is easily Damaged.

-  For most people it causes allergies.

- It stains easily but doesn't clean well.

-  It shrinks with every wash.

Alternatives:

So you're probably thinking.. "well I can't wear wool.. and I'm probably not supposed to wear leather since they're killing animal's like cow's too.. what else am I supposed to wear to cover my body?" There are many Alternatives but honestly us human's are too lazy to figure them out. Some Alternatives are clothing made from Bamboo, Cotton Flannel, Polyester Fleece, Synthetic Shearling and there is many more!

      Facts:

- Ten Millon or more sheep die per year

- In 2002/2003 there were 117.5 million sheep shorn in Australia producing 499 million kg of greasy wool.

- Each mink skinned by fur farmers produces about 44 pounds of feces in his or her lifetime.

-  One dangerous component of this waste is nearly 1,000 tons of phosphorus, which wreaks havoc on rivers and streams.

-  Millions of live sheep are shipped to the Middle East and North Africa every year to be slaughtered.

- Every year, using tools resembling gardening shears, industrial wool farmers in Australia (the largest producer and exporter of wool in the world) routinely mutilate OVER 20 MILLION helpless lambs on wool farms by cutting large swaths of skin and flesh from the area around the anus and, for females, around the vulva, as well. This barbaric, gruesome procedure is called "mulesing" and is typically performed without any painkillers.

- Most sheep have their tails cut off and ears hole-punched.

Just Remember the next time you buy ugly clothing or shoes made out of wool.. They will be skinned alive. Sheep are gentle, peaceful individuals who, just like us, feel pain. They are treated as nothing more than wool-producing machines. As a community let's stop purchasing anything wool. Think of it like this.. The only reason why the wool industry exists is because we demand its existence by purchasing wool products!  Only you can stop it!
